A guide to timeless, neutral interiors - Get the look

A neutral colour scheme certainly isn't something new, in fact it's probably one of the most recognisable interior colour palettes.

It might be something to do with the fact that a neutral colour scheme never goes out of fashion and is a great way of creating a beautiful home, whatever your style. Sticking to neutrals can create a calm, cohesive and professional looking home decor in a simple and easy way. The trick is to really commit to the colour palette and not stray away from it by adding colourful printed cushions or a brightly coloured wall. As long as you stay within a very specific colour theme you can mix and match different styles without losing the cohesiveness of the overall result.

Neutral Interiors

A neutral colour palette does not mean the space has to feel bland - bring in warmth and character through textures and shapes. Natural elements work best in a neutral space to give your home an organic feel. Use materials like wood, wool, stonewares and rattan to help add cosiness and personality to a neutral scheme. As many of us are decorating while being environmentally friendly, think about the longevity of the items you use, neutral shades and quality material will stand the test of time and give your home a timeless feel.
