Att Home with...Estée Lalonde
We caught up with the founder of lifestyle brand MIRROR WATER, Estée Lalond. Estée has been a friend of the brand for years and it has been wonderful to see her home journey evolve in her South London flat. Her home went through a full renovation, creating a space she can live, work and entertain in. A neutral colour palette and natural materials have been used throughout the space, creating a calm, considered and welcoming feel, a real oasis away from city life. This welcoming and inclusive feeling is something she also instilled in her brand MIRROR WATER, which is a self care skin brand that is also a lifestyle community for conscious connections and self-reflection.
What are your top 5 things that you couldn't live without in your home?
It's so hard to narrow it down to just five things, but I spend most of my time sitting at my Hay CPH 90 Desk and I absolutely love it. When I'm not sitting at my desk, I'm sitting on the most comfortable couch in the world, the Luca sofa from MELIMELI or on my Wishbone chairs. I also love my little trinkets from my travels as well as my candles and incense burners scattered around.
Is there a piece in your home that has traveled with you from each place you have lived in? What is it, why do you love it?
I keep so many things from my travels! From bar coasters to rocks I find on the beach...there are little bits of my travels all over the place. I love having little reminders of the good times around me at all times!
Anything new you are looking to add to your home currently?I'm hoping to move in the near future, so I'm trying to hold off on any big purchases, but I could be interested in finding a small rug under my coffee table to make it feel a bit cosier.
Was there a place or something you saw recently that inspired your home style?
Since I'm hoping to move soon to a different style of home, I've become obsessed with finding inspiration! I've lived in a flat for about 4 years now and I'm hoping to get a house with a garden! I've been living on Zoopla and have been seeing lots of interesting ideas there. Of course Pinterest is always incredible for inspiration as well. I think more than anything I want a bright kitchen! Where do you find inspiration for your products for MIRROR WATER? Any new products coming soon?
MIRROR WATER is a human focused brand with a mission to inspire self reflection and encourages people to spark their own internal revolution. I launched MIRROR WATER about 4 months ago with 3 products and most recently we launched a body scrub called BUFF. At the moment I'm concentrating on packaging and potentially some merch (!!) and then hopefully we can launch some new things after Summer. I have so many ideas, but it takes about a year to formulate and bring a product to market so let's see!
