We transformed this South East London home from a dark mismatched flat into a calm clean space. With the apartments size constraints, the brief was to add a sense of space and give it a modern update.

In the kitchen we took down the large dark brown cabinets and replaced it with shelves across the whole wall. This allowed for storage to go all the way up to the ceiling and opened up the space. The unit doors were updated to gloss white doors and a new wooden work surface was added. Details such as the black lampshade, subway tiles and plants tie the look together making this a kitchen our client will love cooking in.

We boxed in the boiler and added a new cabinet to create extra storage and give the kitchen a clean finish. We took down the dark wooden shelves to make the small kitchen feel bigger.

In the living room we added new shelves to allow for book storage and to display decorative items. Some furnishings were taken out and a new sofa added to create more seating space. By adding a rug and putting the TV on the wall the space was zoned off to create a cosy seating area. Cushions, plants and art work were added to tie the final look together.

The bathroom was given a top to toe refresh with new wall and floor tiles. White subway tiles were used on the walls and bath finished with a grey grout for a classic yet modern look. The wall tiles are off set by grey slate tiles used on the floor. Some pale pink and grey accessories were added to finish the look

The simple updates and interior flourishes have transformed this flat into a gorgeous pad our client will enjoying spending more time in. Each room now functions as it should making it a home anyone would love being in
